    Dramatic finishes
It's becoming a common sight in the PBA these days as the Governor's Cup enters the semifinal round.
After Benjie Paras and Nelson Asaytono's heroic two point shots that won ballgames for their respective squads, PBA's three- point bombers took to the floor.
First, It was in the game between Swift Mighty Meaty and Shell Rimula-X. Then the out-of-town stint between league-leading ballclub Pepsi Mega and debuting San Miguel Beer in the PBA Marlboro Showdown in Iloilo City last Saturday.
Al Solis, PBA's Mr. Clutch, freed the Meaties from a potential clash with the much-feared Tondena 65 Rum in a knockout game when he unleashed a three-pointer in the dying seconds of a 103-101 victory against the Oilers.
While Elmer "Boy" Cabahug, establishing himself as the out-of-town three point king, reversed the fortunes of the Megas when he hit an off-balance three point shot at the San Agustin gym in Iloilo against the heavily-favored but depleted San Miguel Beer squad. It marked the first victory of the Megas in the semis.
The former happened in 12 seconds while the latter in just five. Perhaps, after the heartbreaking loss to the Meaties, Bong Alvarez, who had two consecutive excellent games, sulked in disbelief since it was his inbound pass to Abet Guidaben that was stolen by Rudy Distrito that caused their loss.
While Kenny Travis, who showed that last year's best import is still very much in good shape, must have felt bad after the loss. Had he sank both his charities, Cabahug's three pointers would only have meant an overtime.

Tondena 65 Rum team manager Ber Navarro went to the press room last Friday armed with the press release informing everyone that PBA commissioner Jun Bernardino withdrew the decision imposing a fine of P 5,000 on playing-coach Robert Jaworski.
The decision, which was then handed down by acting commissioner Sonny Barrios, the PBA's finance officer and executive assistant, was due to Jaworski's actuations after he was called for his sixth foul in their game against Sta.Lucia Realty last October 16.
However, Bernardino explained that there was no reversal of decision understood by many in the press release. Instead he said that it was withdrawn for the meantime until after he and Jaworski and Navarro shall have met sometime this week.
The "temporary suspension" of the penalty came when Jaworski through Navarro complained that there was no due process when he was fined the said amount following the return of the Commissioner from Hiroshima.
Bernardino further explained that there was a memo issued by the commissioner's office that those who commit deliberate fouls will no longer be summoned to his office. It shall depend on the Commissioner's discretion whether there's a need for him to be summoned or not.
Cases like that of Benjie Paras, who threw his mouthpiece on the court after he was called for his sixth foul and continue his outrage while going to the dugout in disgust, and that of Jaworski don't fall in that category. Paras did not complain when he was fined, so there's no big deal.
But Jaworski did. Thus, a reconsideration may be in the offing depending on the results of their "conference or hearing" this week.
