There is usually a huge burden when someone becomes the top pick during the rookie draft. There is usually a huge expectation and all eyes are on the top prospect. Some exceeded expectations but others did not fare well. For Junemar Fajardo, it remains to be seen whether he could live up to the billing. Benjie Paras in 89 and Danny Seigle in 99 were phenomenal. Allan Caidic, who was part of Great Taste's nucleus in hsi rookie season in 87, also had a splendid year, leading his team to two sints int he championship round, capped by the All-Filipino title.

ako mismo akala ko pag sinabing top picks e 1st rounder, 1st to 5th pick...
yung kila jolas at alvin pwede na rin siguro accept sila kase rookies pa rin naman eventhough hindi sila dumaan sa draftting.... kase kung hindi sila accepted as rookies di mananalo ng ROY si jolas...

- I do remember when Jolas during his rookie year's na sumali pa sa slam dunk contest, sa liit niyang yun pero how amazing ganun kataas ang vertical leap ng mamang ito.
