Jaworski vs. Fernandez

When you think about the best all-around player, then Ramon Fernandez is no doubt the bets of all-time in the PBA. A center/forward who has an overall skill of a guard, Fernandez was one of the bst passing big men the PBA ever had. Add to that the four MVP's he won (could have been five) had he not lost the voting in the 1989 season, the same season when his SMB team completed a grand slam.

But when you choose the most charismatic player, who gives his 100% every game and do whatever it takes to win, then you will pick Jaworski above everybody else.

Jaworski was one of the greatest rebounding guards of all-time, in the same breath that Fernandez is one of the best passing big men.

But it all boiled down to charisma, heart and will to win and Jaworski was on top of his class.

If you're going to based it on paper, El Presidente racked almost all of the all time records in the PBA. That's What differs him from Big J. Jaworski is a great player but his best abilities cannot be seen from the stat sheet. Iba yung leadership nya. Yung charisma nya is incomparable to anybody even Fernandez didn't come close. That's why a lot of fans love him. Even his enemies(like me as I was a solid Purefoods fan) have the outmost respect for him. Yun ang nakainggit dati dahil wala si Jawo sa team ko. Win or lose, fans will always cheer for him. Kahit tapos na laro hindi pa din umaalis mga tagahanga nya hanggang hindi nawawala si Jawo sa mata nila.

This two legends are great but they can never be compared to one another. Fernandez's records will never be broken by another player and Jaworski's charisma like I said earlier, can never be equalled. Don't forget that after their playing careers, Jawo's charismma to the Filipino people netted him a seat in the senate which is in contrast to Ramon's failure on his bid to become a senator.

Jawo is not the best ever, he's the most charismatic and popular PBA player ever. Kung pagdedebatihan ang PBA greatest player of all time it's a toss up between Ramon Fernandez and Alvin Patrimonio.

Bakit ba napaka-emosyonal ng mga Pinoy at simpleng numbers naitatatwa ng "puso" "charisma" etc. This is hands down Mon Fernandez. Ilang records ba hawak ni Mon? I hated him for denying PF it's first AFC championship and he was suppose to be old by then. Patpatin pero tindi ng basketball IQ. Can play 1-5 positions.

in a way, but aside from charisma... i think his impact to the game and league what made him great!
